Help for Churchwardens
The English Clergy Association's new initiative to help churchwardens has been appreciated. We continue to offer help and information to churchwardens via these pages, on how to deal with vacancy, how to get grants, advice about buildings maintenance and so on. Churchwardens will also enjoy the journal 'Parson and Parish'
Lord Cormack
We were very saddened to hear of the death of Lord Cormack in February. He had supported the work of the Association and had been our Parliamentary Vice-President for many years, and we were able to send a representative to his funeral in Lincoln Cathedral. He was a churchman with a great love for the Church of England and his wisdom and contribution will be much missed.
Our AGM is on Tuesday 11th June 2024.
Lunch may be obtained in the St Martin in the Fields Cafe. There is a regular service of Holy Communion at 1.15pm in the Dick Sheppard Chapel. Apologies for absence may be sent to Dr Peter Smith at p.m.smith@exeter.ac.uk
